What's going on my friends?

I just wanted to shoot out a quick post about what I'm up to.

It's the day before Thanksgiving and that means it's time to gear up for my annual weight purge. This year I'm going to try something different and use an iPhone app called, "The Eatery." So... starting Black Friday, I'll use this app to start a food diary using photos of what I eat. It may will take a while for me to get into the flow (excuses already) :) but I'll get there.

Personally, I hope the don't do it. 

The simplicity of Instagram is what sets it apart from the others. 

Hopefully they won't complicate things by trying to do too much.

As I have stated many times before, I have discovered some amazing artists that inspire me on Instagram so when I hear significant transformation it concerns me.

I have been experimenting with the BigLens iPhone app & so far I'm pretty impressed. If there is one thing that I tend to struggle with... it's over processing my photos with too many different apps & BigLens makes this too easy for me to do.

The acronym K.I.S.S. (Keep-It-Simple-Stupid) comes to mind. But with a little focus, you could create some amazing art using this app.

My Takeaway: This is something that I always do with Camera+ before I upload my edited photos to Instagram.

It's still cool to have another option though.

Guess what? I'm having issues with the latest iOS 5 update.

I've noticed that my photos appear blurry & some even appear as black boxes on my camera roll. 

I'm going to use FX Photo Studio as my default camera until this issue is resolved.

The photo above was edited with FX Photo Studio...

One of the reasons why I chose this as my go to camera app was the ability to upload photos to both Instagram & Camera+.

Note: You also can save the photos taken (within the app) to the clipboard for further editing. I'll store them there until my iOS 5 issues are fixed.

What about you? Are you having any issues?

My Takeaway: I am notoriously known as someone who will whip out my iPhone while waiting in traffic to snap a quick pic. I can't even begin to tell you many great shots I have missed just because my phone was locked. Hopefully with Wednesday's IOS 5 update that will become a thing of the past.

One of my early favorites but lately I have been using Camera+ with Instagram a lot. 

The integration with Instagram has led me back to FX Photo Studio.

To me, Camera+ and FX Studio are the best stand alone photo apps out there.

A few of my Droid friends are finally seeing the light. They are simply amazed at what I'm able to do with my iPhone 4. 

Hint: Many of the Droid phones have many of the same capabilities. (Apps)

What am I going to do?

I'm in no rush to upgrade to the iPhone 5, but my wife probably will.
